Non-Zero Learning Space

Non-Zero is a place-based ecological learning space for children and young people in the Western Ghats.

Western Ghats Forest
Nature Path

"Learners should not learn about forests only after forests are damaged. They should grow up knowing how to belong to them."

Non-Zero enable space young people learn through forests, farms, rivers, elders, wildlife, food, culture, observation, creativity, and lived experience. Not classroom-only education. Not lecture-based awareness. A learning space where ecology becomes relationship.

Why Non-Zero Exists

Because ecological learning cannot wait.

Across forest-edge communities, children are growing up inside changing landscapes, rivers shifting, forests under pressure, local knowledge fading, and climate uncertainty becoming part of daily life.

But most education still separates children from the land that sustains them. Non-Zero exists to change that by bringing together Inner Ecology (self, attention, values, more) and Outer Ecology (forest, wildlife, community, more).

Why Donate to Non-Zero

Climate action is not only planting trees. It is growing the kind of people who know how to live with them. Non-Zero helps children build ecological memory before disconnection becomes normal.

It helps them understand that the forest is not outside life, wildlife is not only danger, and elders are vital knowledge holders. Coexistence begins with how we see.

Transparency Promise

Every contribution is connected to visible learning work. We share what was supported, how funds were used, and the stories of the children and elders involved.

Your support becomes journals, walks, stories, and future coexistence. It does not disappear; it grows into a healthier relationship between children and land.

Help children grow with the forest, not away from it.
